More Fabrication

April has seen us pushing to get more of Decotoro made, fitted, and eventually ready for paint. In the last week we have skinned the hooves(front and rear) and framed the skirts in between.

Brett has done a brilliant job framing up an art deco keystone inspired cowcatcher.

Burning Man 2019

There is no getting around it, while Decotoro will have a life outside of Burning Man, it was designed specifically with Burning Man and the Department of Mutant Vehicles requirements in mind. After eight months of building, discussing, designing, deciding, drawing, we have a conditional invitation from the Burning Man DMV Hotties to bring Decotoro to Burning Man 2019. The conditions are a) mutate/obscure the rear of the vehicle and b) radical illumination. We have a design in mind for the rear of the vehicle and we know where we can improve our lighting plans and really showcase the art and design of Decotoro.

Our team is so excited!

We’ve been working steadily the last four days on the art/mutation.

More Interior Details

We have added the benches for the upper deck.

We have also been putting together a very nice 12v audio system. We have an application driven head unit, eight Morel speakers, a JBL subwoofer, and some Rockford Fosgate amplifiers.

Now to determine how to place the speaker and the damask pattern on the same panel.
